I am still here….

I have totally neglected my blog this week. So Sorry. I wish I could tell you that I have been incredibly busy and creating like a mad woman, but I can’t. I have been just lazing around. I think it’s that whole creative block thing going on.
I did make a few cards, but haven’t photographed them yet. And on Sunday, I got totally sucked in to watching The Oscars. I love that Sandra Bullock won for best actress. It was totally worth staying up way past my bedtime. I tell you what, Monday at work was brutal. I was running off of very little sleep. In fact, when we got home from work I fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 6pm and went to bed. But since Sandra won and The Hurt Locker won best picture, it was totally worth it.
Promise I will be back in action and posting again on my blog Sunday. I am going to take the rest of the week off.

I am enjoying every moment of the beautiful sunshine!

It’s amazing what a full day of sunshine can do for a body! There is still a little chill in the air, but the sunshine feels so good!

I just found out today that the place I work will be having a Vendor Fair later this month. I filled out the paperwork and WhatchaMaDoodles will be there! I can’t wait! Now, I have to get busy finishing up some bird houses that have been waiting for some paint! This is going to be a great motivator to get me back in that creative mode!!!

Here are a couple more cards that I made over the weekend.

Brick walls suck!

Have you ever felt like you were beating your head up against a brick wall? That is how I have been feeling for the past few weeks. Not really sure why, but I just feel like if I can knock down that brick wall all will be well in my pea little brain. I am emotionally, spiritually and creatively hitting a brick wall. Not fun!!! It’s a super frustrating funk!

What’s weird about the whole thing is that things are good in my world. Well except financially, but heck, who hasn’t felt the effects of this wonderful economy we are experiencing.  What are they calling it? The Great Recession? I can think of a few other choice words to describe what’s going on with our economy.

Trust me, I am not whining or saying “oh woe is me” because that it completely counter productive and just plain annoying, just trying to figure out what is causing that dang blasted brick wall.

Oh heck, who knows. I am sure it has something to do with the weather! I need consecutive days of sunshine!

Here is another card I made. I am so enjoying these bright and fun colors.  Come on Spring!!!!

Happy Day

Typically, that doesn’t describe an average Monday for me, but I have to admit this particular Monday wasn’t too bad. No reason why, just wasn’t a bad Monday.

With all of the running around this weekend and the naps, I didn’t spend that much time in the Project Room. I did spend some time on Saturday evening and made a few cards. Earlier in the day, I had stopped by Hobby Lobby and picked up some paper pack that was on sale. I love me a good 40% off sale. I picked up two packs of My Mind’s Eye paper. I usually don’t care too much for the MME paper packs since the pages already have glitter on them, but I couldn’t pass these two up. They are just too much fun. And I needed something that screamed spring and summer!

Happy Day is made with different shades of blue papers. I added some fun blue bling and ribbon. And if you look close enough you will see that the sewing machine got in on the action!

I love getting goodies in the mail….

And boy howdee, I absolutely love what my mommy sent me! I got this beauty in the mail on Thursday! See, I had been collecting yarn for a while with the intent to make an afghan. Well, I never got around to it. My momma made the mistake of showing me some afghans she made for Christmas presents back in November. Light bulb went off in my head. HeeHee. So I packed up all of the yarn and sent it her way. Boy, I am glad I did. Because this beauty is awesome. And as an added surprise, she made a smaller one for Chris’ chair.

Thank you momma! I absolutely love my afghan!! Widdles loves them too!

Chris couldn’t resist taking these shots as I was enjoying my Saturday nap! Thank goodness my hair wasn’t flying all over the place and that only 1/2 of my ugly mug was showing, otherwise, you wouldn’t be seeing these pictures right now!

I did get some cards done. But only a few. It was a very busy weekend doing other things. Friday, we had to take Gracie to the shop to get some work done and then back over to pick her up on Saturday. She got some new tires and the front fender well replaced. She isn’t snaggled toothed anymore! It’s amazing what damage a wire clothes hamper can do when you hit it doing about 70 mph. Who knew!

Happy Humpty Dumpty Day!

We are 1/2 way through the week! WooooHooo! The only sad thing, Matt is going back to Alaska tomorrow.   I really like having my boy back in the house, but I know that he is ready to get back to his world. It will be sad to see him go, but our visit has been really good.  And you know what? I didn’t flash burn him this time. I think I only grabbed the camera once. You can tell that I haven’t scrapbooked in ages, other than stuff for WhatchaMaDoodles.

Ready for more cards? Man, I hope so, cause that’s all I got.

Will it ever warm up?

I am beginning to wonder if we are ever going to see warmer temperatures. I would be happier if the wind would just stop blowing. Thank goodness I don’t wear skirts or dresses to work! Talk about BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Last night we all piled on the couch after dinner and watched a great movie. Have any of you seen “Law Abiding Citizen”? OMG! It was an incredibly fast paced movie. I love Gerard Butler and he was fantastic in this movie. If you haven’t seen it, go check it out. After we watched it we were having a great debate on topics such as the death penalty, vigilantism, revenge, the justice system.

Tonight is Pizza night. Yes, my diet is completely blown for the week. Hell, it’s been blown since last September after my surgery. I am going to have to get back on track very soon. Just not this week!

Are you getting tired of seeing my cards? If so, skip the rest of the post! LOL!! I made a load of cards this past weekend and we are not even half way through them. Here are three more.
