Can you tell.....
That I miss my boy? He is entering into week 3 of Basic Training. He was finally able to call on Sunday. We got to talk to him for about 10 minutes. He is doing great. Chris and I are gearing up for our trip to San Antonio the first week of October for his graduation!! I can't wait.
In the mean time, I have been scrapping away!!!!!

I remember when Rudy was in Basic for the Army in Monterey, CA, back in 1970. They could only write letters home during Basic, no phone calls were allowed.
He left home in Jan. 1970, did his Basic and then went on to AIT, Fort Knox, KY. Finally got to see each other in July 1970.
He left for Viet Nam, a year's tour in July 1970.
Came home from Viet Nam on 9th of July 1971 and we got married on the 17th. Celebrated our 36th Anniversary in July.

It's so hard when they're really moved out. There are so many little reminders, innocent little things, all ready to poke you when you think you're coping so well.
