A New Mom.....

As most of you know, I have become a Great Aunt. My beautiful niece, Nikki, just recently became a new mom to the beautiful Mackenzie. What an exciting and scary time for her and her husband. The world and life has changed dramatically for them and things will never be the same.

It got me to thinking about when I became a mom, soooo many years ago. I remember that I was not a happy camper when I found out I was pregnant. I did not have an easy pregnancy. The whole experience was not the wonderful blissful thing that mom's talk about. Matt's delivery was an experience I will never forget, right up to that moment that they wheeled me in for an emergency C-Section, then it was lights out. I didn't get to see Matt until he was 6 hours old. But once they laid him in my arms, I fell instantly in love with him. He was beautiful and he was mine. God blessed me with this beautiful child, ME...someone so undeserving of such a wonderful precious priceless treasure. He is all grown up now...the big 18! He has grown into this wonderful man....Man! I can't believe my lil' guy is now a man! I am so proud to be his mom!

We just had our mid-month reveal at 2Jills, I finally get to share some cards I made with that wonderful kit!

I also just challenged the 2Jiller's to a Questions Challenge. I totally stink at journaling. Questionnaires and survey's are a great way to add some journaling by simply answering the questions! Here is my LO.

Quote Mini-Album

I was totally inspired by a wonderful creative online pal of mine! Lainey did this beautiful mini-album of quotes. So I decided to do one too!

I used yummy Tres Jolie paper from MME and MM chipboard, Bazzil flowers, various buttons and ribbon! This was such a fun project!

Exciting Times at The Shack & 2Jills

Over at The Creative Scrap Shack:

I have to shout it out! Donna Downey is going to be chatting with all of us at The Shack on Thursday, April 26th at 6pm - 7pm CST! I am so so excited! Come on over to The Shack and check it out! It is going to be a great time!!!!!!

And don't forget, The Shack is having a VC on May 5th, which is very exciting, however, that is not what I am sooo excited about. Chris, our super fabulous and uber talented DT Coordinator just announced that during our VC on May 5th from 1 pm to 3 pm the one and only ANA CABRERA, of CKU and Purple Cow (formerly of Scrapbook Answers) will be joining us for tons of fun and some awesome make-and-takes.

2Jill's April Kit totally Rocks!

Okay, just can't get over 2Jill's April Kit of the Month. It is bright, it is fun, and it is full of Pink! Normally, not something you would think that I would even use....well, I am so glad that I did, because it is a super fun kit! Fancy Pants Key Lime, 3 Bugs, Rob and Bob ribbon, and I can go on.

Something Fun

At the Nook the DT were given various products to showcase. I recieved some AC felt flowers and Maya Road box. Here is what I created!

This is what I did with the Maya Road Box. I used Provo craft pattern paper, buttons and HS flowers. The rest of the products is Maya Road....chipboard petals, fundamentals, transparent blossums and ribbon. I love Maya Road. This project was inspired by a Jack -n- The Box. I curled some of the paper to mimic a spring.



This LO I used the AC Felt Flowers and some AC Thickers. The paper is the yummy Basic Grey Phoebe! I love this picture. My awesome talented personal photographer Leesa Parker took this picture at the Tulsa Zoo! I am so glad she is letting me use it in one of my LOs!

Okay, I am soooooo far behind on my blog....so here is a quick update in Tam's Crazy World

On April 4th, at 5:03 pm, Mackenzie Marie Moreno was born. Finally! I am now officially a Great Aunt! Great Grandpa Bruce has dubbed her "Peanut", which has changed from "M&M". She came into this world by C-Section, weighing in at 8 pounds 6.2 ounces and 20 inches long. OMG! No wonder they had to go C-Section. Her poor mommy is a tiny thing! Mommy and baby are doing great and went home on Friday the 6th. I will get more pictures up very soon!
