Zutter..Bind It All fun....

I finally got to sit down and give my new Bind it All a whirl! I love it. However, I ordered coils that are a tad too large. But that is okay, I am sure I can put them to good use, and I know where I can order some smaller ones! Here is my first little mini-album I made with some chipboard, 7Gypsies paper and awesome pictures of my Matthew!

Dead Modems, Fried Phones and 2 years Today........

Well, my modem died. One minute it was working, and I was in Message Board bliss and then next, annoying error message sound and "Can not connect to server" screaming at me from my monitor. Reboot computer....nope, that didn't work.....Turn off modem, leave off for a few minutes.....nothing, call AT&T, spoke with a very nice man, but I could hardly understand him. Go through the check list, unplug, plug back in....nothing, turn modem off (hello dude, already did that)...leave off for 5 minutes and he was counting. Turn back on....nothing....push little red reset button on modem, nope, nada, zip! Modem is offically dead.

And to add insult to injury my phone died too. I guess it was morning the loss of the modem, who knows, but the phone died too. So off to Best Buy me and Chris went. Picked up a new modem, new cordless phone with 2 extra handsets (one for the bedroom and one for the project room), and an 80 gb external hard drive....oh and the new Linkin Park CD - which is awesome! So now, I am back online and can also talk on the phone. Wooohoooo! Also, our new phone has some pretty interesting features. I personally like the "room monitoring" function. You can call another one of the handsets and listen to what is going on in the room that handset is in...pretty fun! However, it's not like you can go un-noticed. The handset you are calling rings.....not much for the element of surprise!

Wow, I can't believe that it's been two years since Chris and I got married. Seems like yesterday, and then again it seems like we have been together forever. We were going to celebrate with dinner and a movie over the Memorial Day weekend, however, I wasn't feeling very well, so we are going to celebrate next weekend.

Random Bits of Happiness

I have been working on this mini-book for a few days. I have so many pictures that I have printed out for LOs that either never made it to a LO or was extras from a LO. So I thought what better way to use those pictures than to make a mini-ablum. I used an awesome Scalloped chipboard album from Maya Road, yummy Sassafrass Lass and Senic Route papers and embellies, and tons of my own doodling....that is what took me so long to finish. I love how it turned out. The SL paper just screams for doodling! What fun paper!

Some New Pictures of Mackenzie......

She is such a cutie patootie! I can't get over how much she has grown, but babies tend to do that. My mom reports, that Peanut has found her voice and is making some of the funniest noises! I can't wait to meet her in person! Hopefully in the next couple of months!! Until then, I am enjoying the pictures my mom and sister send me!

Here are some of the altered projects I have done so far. I have one that I just completed but haven't taken a picture of it yet.

We also started BOM Challenges at the CSS. Our first challenge was to do our intro page. I have decided that my BOM (Book of Me) is going to be fun and funky, full of doodling and some "out of the box" designs.

Here are a couple more LOs I have done so far this weekend.

A little blue today.......

Ever had one of those days, that you were just .... blah? I was having one of those day, until I got a phone call from Matthew. Normally, a phone call from him would put me in a fan-tabulous mood, but not today. I went from blah to blue.....Don't get me wrong, I love talking to him and I was glad to hear from him, but he called with his new date for Basic Training and when he would be coming back to Oklahoma. The realization that my baby boy has really flown the coop and that when he returns to Oklahoma it will be only for a short visit and then he will be gone off to Basic Training and starting his own life....So now I am blue. I am tickled that he has grown up and has all of these plans, hopes and dreams. But I am a mom, and entitled to be a little blue...just for a little while!

I know what will get me back into a great mood.....creating something.....so this evening, I am going to have to scrap, alter or sew something!

Here is some layouts I did recently. I absolutely love the picture of Cassie in the LO "Who, Me?" My dad took that picture standing over her. Mind you, I turned the picture upside down for the LO. I thought it is really cool that way. Also, the flower in the Right hand corner is handmade from some yummy Maya Road Ribbon! I am getting back into sewing...just wish I knew what I was doing!

I've Been Tagged.....

I have been tagged by the ultra talented and super sweet Dawn.

I have to tell you 5-10 ways to come up with things to put on my blog. Man, this is going to be hard, because I am a terrible blogger! Hmmmmm.....lets see.

1. I love to post my latest work and see what people think of it.

2. Occassionally, I will post something exciting that has happened in my world, like me becoming a Great Aunt!

3. I love showing off the different DT kits that I get - I am so lucky to be working with some wonderful Kit clubs!

4. Even though I am a terrible blogger, I know that my mom and sister are always checking out my blog to see what I am up too, because I am always forgetting to tell them stuff when we talk...Now if I can just get them to leave me comments! :o)

5. Wow, I am a terrible blogger because I am at a loss of any way I come up with stuff to blog about...Oh, yep...Blog challenges and being tagged! :o)

Okay, I am off to go tag Cheryl, Zarah and Lainey!

A New Love.......

I have so many favorite scrappy manufacturers, Maya Road, Fancy Pants, Cosmo Cricket and Basic Grey. I have found a new love to add to my ever growing list (and scrapping supplies)....Daisy D's! Have you seen their Chasing Butterflies and Beacon Hill paper! OMG! Love it! I have used Daisy D's in the past, but my head turned when I first laid my eyes on Modern Romance and now Chasing Butterflies and Beacon Hill! Love it!

The Creative Scrap Shack is hoting a great Daisy D's contest this month! Come check it out! Not only are they hosting this contest, but they are also hosting a Senic Route contest. Oh, but wait, there is one more contest that The Shack is having......"The Big Kahuna" Contest. Check this out. You can sign up for the contest through May 25th. It is going to be awesome and great fun!

Here are some things I have done with my new love, Daisy D's!
