Merry Christmas everyone out there in cyber space! I hope that everyone who celebrates our Saviour's birthday is having a wonderful day, and those who do not celebrate, I hope that you are having a great day off.
Today Chris and I are just hanging out and enjoying a nice sunny day here in Oklahoma. It's a tad bit windy, but hey, that's Oklahoma! Believe it or not, I cooked today. No, hell has not frozen over. It was part of my Christmas present to my wonderful Chris.
Matthew is in Maryland right now visiting his dad and family. He called yesterday excited to be driving his beloved Mustang. He is such a goober! LOL!
Merry Christmas!

What a weekend! I needed at least 2 more days just to catch up on sleep, house work, projects! I did catch up on sleep and laundry, everything else will have to wait I suppose.
Chris took 3 of the kittens to his boys. They were so excited. 3 down, 2 to go. I am not sure if I can part with Boogie. He is such a little cuddle bug. However, if Chris' friend who is going to take Saucy, if he will take Boogie and Saucy together, then I will let Boogie go. Now I just need to find a home for the momma. I need my house back to normal! Possum is soooooo mad at me and Chris because of Blue and her kittens. And the dogs think that we don't love them anymore, because they have had to stay outside. I miss my dogs.
Matt finally starts his training this week. He will finish up the first week of February and then he will be heading back to Oklahoma for a week. I can't wait!
Here are some projects that I have done over the past few weeks and just now getting good enough light to take pictures. We finally had the sun come out for a little while on Sunday.

I think I am in love...with Hambly Clearly Heavy Overlays! And I think anyone that knows me, knows that I love Maya Road. So here is what I did....I mixed the two! Cool huh! What a fun and easy mini-album to make. I used pictures that I had printed out for a LO, but these particular pics never made it to the LO. So I used them here.
I cut the Hambly overlays into 3 inch strips. Then I cut them down exactly 1/2" shorter than each of the MR Stacked pieces, except the top piece.
I then used a Sharpie White Paint Pen to outline the Hambly with dots.
I covered the MR pieces with Fancy Pants True paper. And then outlined with stitches using a Black Gel Glaze Pen (from January's Kit).
Other items used: Fancy Pants Harvest Pins and Posies, Basic Grey and Making Memories Rubons.

Well, once again, I have been a very bad blogger. This time of the year there is so much to be done and it seems like my blog has fallen to the way side.

On Thanksgiving Day we got our house all decorated for Christmas. I love putting out Christmas decorations. However, I think we have lost some, somewhere between the house and the storage shed. But after spending a few hours in the storage shed pulling down 15 boxes of Christmas stuff, I don't think Chris and I will be going back out there to find a few missing decorations. I will find them during the summer when we do our annual "storage shed organization"!

I got to spend three days with my scrapping buddies from Oklahoma City. We went to this beautiful place in Tahlequah call The Scrappin Pad. The house is amazing. Christi, the owner really knows how to spoil scrappers rotten. We had a blast. I rode with Martha and we totally got lost. Had to turn around 5 times to finally find a place for Kim and Carolyn to meet us. It was hilarious! Typical for me though, I usually have to turn around at least 5 times when traveling to a new destination. So keeping with tradition, we had to turn around 5 different times. But it was dark and we were talking....you know how that goes! And I am totally a suckie navigator! LOL!

To catch you up on the latest happenings here in Oklahoma: Finally got Christmas pictures taken. Thank you Leesa. Even though we had terrible problems with the lighting in my house, Leesa took some great pictures.

My parents came in to see me and Chris on Thursday. They came in a day early because of the weather that was moving in. Them coming in a day early totally rattled me. My house was a disaster, I hadn't been grocery shopping yet and I hadn't finished my sister's Christmas gift, which my parents were taking back with them since we are not going to their house for Christmas. Lets just say I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off all day Thursday before they got to my house. We had a great visit. They got to see me completely stressed because I spend all day Friday on the phone dealing with the Flight Department and a trip my boss was taking to Mexico. Oy! What a day! The trip ended up being cancelled Sunday night since the ice storm was moving in and already wrecking havoc in the area.
Oooo, Brrrr. Monday (yesterday), Chris and I woke up to major ice and trees crashing down everywhere in the neighborhood and our yard. I think we ended up with about 1 to 1 1/2 inches of ice. We didn't and haven't lost power, but the houses across the street have, as well as several blocks around us. It is really a scary sound listening to trees breaking. We had to bring the dogs in, there is a huge tree in our back yard. When limbs started falling from it, I put all of the kittens in the back bedroom and brought the dogs in the house. Good thing I did, because about an hour after I let them in, a limb hit their dog house. The dog house is okay, no damage to it. A huge limb from our tree in the front yard hit the front porch and shook the house. Fortunately, no damage. But our front yard is a mess. The couple on the corner, lost all of their trees. Most of their limbs ended up in the street, blocking it for most of the day. It looks like a tornado went through and only took out the trees. The ice is pretty, but it's very destructive.
Chris went to work today, but I stayed home. I didn't get much sleep last night with all of the rain and falling limbs, as well as having the dogs in the house. Every time I would just about get to sleep, one or both of them would wake me up. I miss having them in the house, except when they keep me awake all night. Here are some pictures of the ice and our yard. Our neighbors on both sides of us got much more in the way of falling limbs then we did. We are going to have a major neighborhood cleanup over the next few days. Lets just hope it stops raining. Unfortunately, they are calling for more freezing rain tomorrow. Ugh!
I am sure there is more I am forgetting. I will do my best to update more often. Lots going on! Hopefully Matt won't have to email me anymore to remind me to update my blog!
Oh, good news, Matt has officially started Tech School at Lackland AFB. Yipee!!!! It's been a terrible two months for him since he got finished with Basic Training. But now he is back on track, all injuries are healed, he has been assigned a new job and life if good. He will be in San Antonio for 6 more weeks and then he will get to come back to Oklahoma for a 10 day visit, then he will be off to his new duty station. Not sure where yet. Over Christmas he will be flying to Maryland to see his dad and his family. Matt will then drive back to San Antonio in his new Mustang that he bought from his dad. We call it, BA (Bad Ass). Now I will have a whole new thing to worry about!
