My Monday started off crappy and it ended pretty crappy too...
While I was getting ready for work yesterday at the ungodly hour of 4 am, Chris told me that we needed to go to the emergency room. Yep, every year, during the summer, my hubby gets a kidney stone. My poor guy. So we headed off to the emergency room. It was storming like crazy. Streets were starting to flood and there were several accidents that we passed. Crappy Crappy start to a Monday.
We get to the hospital and lets just say, they were having a bad Monday morning as well. We were there for almost 5 hours. Ugh! I feel asleep in one of those very very uncomfortable chairs.
I get Chris home and then I head to work. It is still raining. It rained all day.
Fast foward to bed time.....which was around 9 pm. It doesn't take me long to fall asleep. A nice retreat from my very bad Monday. Well my nice sleepy time was to be interrupted.
Do you know how hard it is to separate two large determined dogs from a big freaking Raccoon at 11 pm at night?
It's very very hard!!!!!!!!!
Especially when you are half asleep!!!
Try to imagine......Big Freaking Raccoon sitting on the fence post, only inches away from two highly irriated crazed (and loud I might add) DOGS! Scrappy came to me with very little effort. Daisy, on the other hand, not so easy. And she is taller than the fence the Raccoon was sitting on. The raccoon was obviously surprised by the crazed dogs and basically froze. All the stupid thing had to do was go back the way he came, but noooo, he decided sitting on top of the fence post inches away from certain death was the appropriate place to be. Stupid Stupid Raccoon!!!
Chris had to pop Daisy with a towel (yes, locker room style) in the tookus to even get her attention. Then it took another minute or so (which seemed like forever) to get her away from the fence and the big freaking raccoon.
All I could visualize was calling the vet at 11pm for emergency stitches in Daisy's face. But fortunately, the Raccoon wasn't as quick at striking Daisy as Daisy was from dodging those big raccoon claws.
Scrappy and Daisy came away from the backyard brawl with not a scratch. The Big Freaking Raccoon? Well, I am sure he had to clean his shorts! I bet he won't climb on our fence again. Now, when I get home, I need to apologize to all the neighbors I woke up.
I honestly hope that tonight, I can get some sleep!

I know it wasn't funny to you but I had a good laugh over that raccoon!!
I can just picture it all! Hilarious now, but I am sure not then! Hope that you got some sleep and that Chris is feeling better.
Can't wait to see some of your stuff from Go.Be.Creative!! :)
Hope you are waking up refreshed and a little more rested this morning.
Oh My Goodness!!!!
I am sure you didn't take pics being half asleep and all I know I would have forgot to, but wouldn't that make just the funniest LO....lol
Hope you get some rest real soon and that Chris gets feeling better:)
OMG Tam, first a skunk, now a raccoon. LOL I'm glad Scrappy and Daisy didn't get scratched up.
I hope Chris is feeling better soon.
Tam, what a day! If it makes you feel any better, my dog was sprayed by a skunk twice this week. Both times we opened the door to find out what he was barking at just when the skunk sprayed, so my house smelled like skunk for two days. Hope Chris is feeling better, and huge congrats on the position at Go. Be Creative! I can't wait to see the goodness you create!
LOL on the raccoon. Hope Chris is feeling better!
Oh man - what a day (and night)!! Hope Chris is much better and glad the dogs didn't get hurt!!
