I have been one creating fool this weekend. I even had a MacGyver moment and got laundry done! WOW! I was productive.
Here is my MacGyver moment. I was cleaning out one of my drawers and came across some orphaned kraft paper envelopes. I have no idea what happened to their partners. So I thought, hmmm, what can I do with these. I was needing a break from working on mini albums, so I grabbed some kraft paper, the kraft envelopes, some scrap paper, a few tags and this is what I came up with....it's a mini note card file. I even used my sewing machine.
I should have done something more with the sides, they are a tad bit boring. However, I was in the zone and was only thinking about how I am going to glue the sides on without messing up the whole thing.
Pretty nifty huh? Now if I decide to do another one, I will do more with the sides.
I worked on some new items for my Etsy store. I love making these chunkie little mini's. They are so much fun and quick to make. I worked through a lot of scrap paper with these tiny guys.
I set up my sewing machine where I can just turn around in my chair and viola, I can sew. I have been wanting to make some art journals with this fun poka dot felt I got (I absolutely love Creative Cafe...). I cut some cardstock and hand sewed them together and into the felt cover. I think they turn out pretty cute. I am going to work on some more in different kinds of material.
These are my favorite projects this weekend. I have a ton of Daisy D paper that I have been hording. So I thought it was time to get it out and do something with it. I picked up these Cosmo Cricket Plain Jane cigar boxes and covered them with nothing but torn and inked paper. I added wooden knobs on the bottom of each box and made a coordinating mini album. I have one more cigar box...so I am thinking about making another one for myself! :)
I want to also give a huge shout out and congrats to my girl Carol!!! She made the Creative Scrappers Design Team. So for the next 4 months we can drool over her beautiful work she does for them. At least now, I know that she will be posting on her blog often!!! Make sure you check out her blog and bookmark it!
I also want to thank her for awarding me the Wylde Woman award! I love you Carol!!!

The purpose of this award is "to send love and acknowledgment to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy". She had such lovely things to say and I just want to thank her for this sweet, sweet honor. Part of getting this award is that I need to pass this on, so here are the rules:You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between - it's up to you. Make sure you link to their site in your post. Link back to Tammy's blog so that she can go to visit all these wonderful women. Remember the Purpose of the Award
