Shrinky Dinks and a Guillotine......

How many of you made Shrinky Dinks as a kid? **Raising hand** I loved Shrinky Dinks as much as I loved Sea Monkeys (and that was a lot!) Well, today I ran a quick errand to Hobby Lobby(because I had 40% coupon burning a hole in my pocket) and I spied with my big green eyes Shrinky Dink paper! OMG! I couldn't resist. I had to buy a pack. And did you know that they make Shrinky Dink paper that you can run through your ink jet printer?! Holy Monkey, what rock have I been living under...I did not know that there was such a thing. Heck I didn't know that they still sold Shrinky Dinks. Man, I need to check out the arts and crafts isles at Hobby Lobby more often! I am thinking this weekend, I am going to be having some Shrinky Dink fun!

Well, my 40% coupon went for this bad boy! I have just about worn out my MM paper trimmer. Yes, I know, the MM paper trimmer is self sharpening, should last a very long time.....well

not when you give it a complete work out cutting chipboard. Apparently, chipboard dulls that handy dandy little blade. So I thought, I had better get something different to cut chipboard. I know what you are thinking....I am going to dull the guillotine blade cutting chipboard. I am one step ahead. I have a blade sharpener!!

So how many want to take bets on how long it is before I either cut off my finger, because I decided against the annoying guard or break/wear out this bad boy? I give it 6 months. Since it took me about that long to wear out my MM trimmer. Eventually, it would probably be beneficial if I bought a heavy duty paper cutter hoss thing that they sell at office supply stores or photography stores...Eventually!

Mona and I did some with the girl scouts a couple of years back. We made them charms.
I was wondering what a good cutting system wouyld be, how much did it cost. Don't know if I can find it here, we don't have Hobby Lobby here.

Can't wait to see what you do with the SD's and BE CAREFUL with that cutter. I sure hope some friend of yours didn't tell you they didn't use their guard and that is what made you decide not to use yours.....Bwahahahahaha!!!!!
