I got new glasses today! :) I was surprised when Richard called me from my eye doctor's to tell me they were in. I ordered them on Thursday. I really like the rectangle glasses. They are different than anything I have ever had. I also got the transition lenses and I love them. Why haven't I gotten these sooner? Hmmm, I know, because I am cheap! LOL!!!

Okay, update on my right eye. I went to my family doctors on Friday. He was not too happy about the fact that I am 38 years old with bilateral detached retinas. So he is going to set up an appointment for me with a Retina specialist. My doc wants to know why my eye is deteriorating and why I have detashed retinas. I would like to know too, however, my eye doctor didn't make a huge deal out of it, so I didn't either. Apparently, I should have asked more questions. Don't get me wrong, I really like my eye doctor, but I guess I should have been more of a pain about "why", instead of just going with the flow. My doc is not convinced that my headaches are due to allergies, but he should know that nothing is ever what it seems with me. He is use to seeing patients with the typical allergy symptoms, runny noses, itchy eyes, sneezing, etc. Well, that's not the case with me, my allergy reactions are kick arse headaches that make you want to crawl into a fetal position and just cry yourself to sleep. So I talked him out of a brain scan at this time (he had me do one of those 4 years ago for my headaches and everything came back normal), and is going to send me to an allergist. I haven't heard from his office yet with these referrals, but I am sure I will hear from him this week. If I don't, I will be that pesty patient calling.

When I got home on Friday after my doctor's appointment, I was wiped out and went to bed early. Saturday and Sunday I spent the day in my project room and completed 7 mini albums, 4 chubbie small notes books (I call them chubbies), 4 medium chubby notesbooks (I call them chubbos) and 7 long note books. I have gotten 6 mini albums and the Chubbies and Chubbos uploaded to my Etsy store. I will probably upload the rest tomorrow.

Here are the front covers of my latest mini albums and my notebooks.

Good Lordy....Look who has turned 40!!!! OMG! My sister is old! bwahahahahahahahaha.

Everyone hit her blog with your best 40 birthday sayings!!!!

Happy Birthday LORI!!!! From your YOUNGER sister!!! bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahha!!! I hope you have a great day!
Yesterday I had my field vision test for my eyes. It all went well. Both eyes tested well within the normal range. So that means that there is nothing blocking the optical nerves to the brain. Yippeeee. My eye doc didn't really think that there was, but wanted to rule it out. I got some new glasses too. Hopefully I will have them by the end of next week.
Today, I have to see my family doc. I am going to make sure I get a referral to an allergist before I leave. I am betting good money that once I see the allergist and get tested I will be back on allergy shots. Personally, I prefer the shots, I totally suck at taking medicine daily. But we will see what today holds.
I am really hoping that this evening I will be able to get back in my project room. I have 3 mini albums that need to be finished and two days ago I got some more Maya Road chipboard in the mail to play with. I need to play with some paper and stuff. I haven't played all week. No play makes Tam a very cranky girl! :)
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

04.21.08 cont.....

Two posts in one day. I don't do that often.

Today was a gorgeous day here. I wished there was a way I could have moved my desk from my office to the parking lot. Actually, fishing instead of working would have been even better. But the forecast is calling for more rain this week. Bummer!

My right eye is back to normal. For those that don't know, on Monday of last week, I lost vision in my right eye. It didn't go completely black, but it was like I was looking through a glass of milk. I could see light, but that was about it. It was very scary. Chris got me to my eye doctor and after two hours in her chair, my head was banging, my eyes were dialated, and I still couldn't see out of my right eye. So I went home and went to bed. When I woke up that evening, I was starting to get my vision back. By the next morning, I had vision back but with a bit of a halo in the corner of my eye. However, by Tuesday afternoon, my vision was completely back. But the headache didn't go away until Sunday. The eye doc seems to think that my headaches triggered the eye problem, so on Thursday I have to go in for a field vision test to make sure that there isn't anything blocking the optic nerves to my brain, which she doesn't think so, but wants to rule it out. Then on Friday, I have to go see my family doc concerning the headaches. He will more than likely send me to an allergist. I am allergic to everything under the sun and the pollen is awful right now. But I need to get the headaches under control since that is what is probably causing the vision problems. I do have bad eyes anyway. The eye doc told me that I have great eyes for a 60 year old....geee, that would be fine...IF I was 60! Anyway, enough of that whinning! LOL!!!

I did get two mini albums done this weekend and got them listed in my Etsy store. I think they turned out pretty good.

Where has this week gone? It truly has been a very busy week for me at work. The bossman and I moved back across the street to our old offices. I have been working like a crazy woman trying to get everything in order. And on top of all of that the bossman wants to do some spring cleaning....translation: "Tam, you need to make sure you clean my office top to bottom, including sorting and packing up old files, dust, and reorganize my desk and have the cleaning crew come in and vaccuum and dust away the cobwebs." Yep, that has been my week. And today we had our quartly Board meeting. So I was dealing with that all day. Man, I am looking foward to the weekend. It's a bummer that I have to work tomorrow. I could use this Friday off!!!

Next week the bossman is out of the office for 4 days so I will be able to accomplish a lot. I have 20 storage boxes sitting in front of my desk, ready to be assembled and filled up. I have 7+ years of files that need to go to storage. It's going to be a busy week next week, but at least I will be busy by myself.

I have had some great mail days this week. On Monday, I got a package in the mail from Cafe Prima....I have not been a huge fan of Prima papers, but there new Winter CHA releases I have really liked. I had gotten 3 of their lines a couple of weeks ago, and went back and ordered another line..Whispers. It is gorgeous. Today I got a package full of Kaiser Kraft papers and bling! I have two more packages that are heading my way, and I can't wait to get them. I am not sure if I will be creating this weekend. I have been having some problems with my right eye, so I am thinking that I probably need to give it a rest. But I am pretty sure that I will end up at my desk making something.

I talked to Matt yesterday. He is doing great. He moved his drum set to his dorm room. I am sure that is going to make him very popular with those who sleep during the day when he isn't working. LOL! He is really enjoying living in Delaware. He spends a lot of time at his dad's. His dad lives outside of Washington DC and is only about a 2 hour drive away. So when he gets off work for the week he heads to his dad's. I am glad they are getting to spend a lot of time together. I miss that guy though! I am so ready to see him. Chris and I are planning on going to see him at the end of September/first part of October. We are going to drive. I am looking foward to that road trip.

Last week, I had a fantastic mail day. I ordered this awesome purse from a lady on Etsy. OMG, it is the cutest thing in the world. It is made out of a wool suit and a tie.

Here is a link to the purse:

And here is the link to the Etsy shop that I bought it from:

I love shopping on Etsy! It's amazing all of the stuff that people make and sell. It's very addictive. I have a lot of items and sellers in my favorites. :)

04.13.08

Well, the weekend is coming to an end. I wish I had a couple more days to just hang out and do nothing except maybe sleep. I didn't get much sleep this weekend. Chris had to work Friday and Saturday, so I got up with him at 4 am. When he left the house I went to the project room and started working.

I have gotten a pretty good selection of mini albums and cards in my Etsy shop, so I thought I would add some altered items. I forgot just how much I love to alter. I added some pen / tool holders, a couple of decorated wooden boxes (which one has already sold) and some wooden mini albums.

I made this wooden plaque to sell, but I really think I am going to keep this for myself. I love how it turned out and I have a shelf that it would look great on!

Not much has really been going on around here. The weather has been really pretty, except the wind. It has really been windy. I will be ready for some calmer days.
Tomorrow is moving day for me and the bossman. We are moving back across the street to our old offices. The bossman won't be doing any of the moving work. That is for me to take care of. I have a maintenance man that is going to be meeting me in my current office at 6 am to move everything. They have already moved my computer. So it will only take about an hour to get everything moved. Then it will take me two days to get everything unpacked and reorganized. That is not going to be fun. I have mixed feelings about moving back over to our old offices. I really like my current office because it's really quiet and I am in there by myself. But moving back to the old office will put me back in the same building as my hubby. That will work out better for us since we commute together. However, I will be back in the same office as my old office mate and well, lets just say, I really like being in a quiet office by myself. Oh well, the good out weighs the bad. I suppose. So tomorrow is going to be a fun day! NOT!!!
