All is quiet this Saturday morning.....

It's early and the house is quiet. Chris had to go to work this morning, so me, the dogs and Possum are quietly moving around the house. Well, me and Possum are quiet, I can't say the same for my two miniature elephants, Scrappy and Daisy.

Daisy and Scrappy are waiting on treats. Scrappy is a bit camera shy. I think he hates the flash. Every time I grab the camera, he takes off.
Here is what I am waiting for.....more coffee. I swear the coffee pot is very slow...I bet if I walked away from it and quit watching it, it would brew faster. Funny how that happens.
Possum is annoyed with the two dogs bouncing around the house. Well, she is always annoyed. Nothing new there!

I have been in the project room working on GBC projects for July since around 5 am. Daisy is keeping me company. Actually, she is guarding her stash of dog treats from Scrappy. I don't think she really cares if I am in there or not.
I have already uploaded two sneeky peeks. I love this kit.
It feels good to be scrapping again!!!
Happy Saturday!

Mean People Suck ......

Today was not a good day for me. In fact, today was one of those days that I wished that I could have either fast forward to the end of the day or rewind and start the day over again.

My day started out the same as it always does. Alarm clock goes off at 330 am. I crawl out of bed and into the shower. Get ready for work. Head to work. So far so good, just my typical morning....

I get to work, boot up the computer, make a pot of coffee, turn the radio on. I settle in to my morning routine....check work emails, check the bossman's emails, print off his daily schedule, send him his morning "daily agenda" email, answer emails that came in the night before...drink a cup of coffee. Still everything is clicking along as normal.

I hit the internet to check my personal email account. Now this is when things take a turn for the worse. My inbox had 19 emails waiting for my attention. Well, all 19 emails were notifications from paypal. Transactions to be specific. Transactions of money going in and out of my paypal account....as I start looking more closely (I am not on my 2nd cup of coffee), I discover that there are no Etsy sales to go along with the money going into my paypal account. Then I discovered that very large amount of money was going out. I mean...LARGE amounts of money.

Okay, it's panic time. I don't have that kind of money in my paypal account. So it is coming out of my......yes, you guessed it....my bank account! HOLY MONKEY!!!! I don't have that kind of money sitting in my checking account. NOW I am really in a panic....and that bank doesn't open until 9am. HOLY CRAP!!!!

I finally get a hold of PayPal. Their customer service start answering phone calls at 6am CDT.

BAD NEWS, they can't stop the transactions!! Their suggestion......call the bank. Well duh! I knew that, but the bank doesn't open until 9am. So I disputed everything, still won't stop the money from coming out of my account today.....PANIC has now turned into something worse...not sure how to describe it, but it was worse than PANIC.

The mean person that had a wrecked havoc in my PayPal account decided to change my phone numbers in my paypal profile. Now this is where it really got weird. This person, changed my work number to my home number and changed my home number to a friend of mines home phone number who lives in a different state. Talk about Twilight Zone. So I emailed my friend to alert her to check her paypal account, that it could have possibly been compromised. Thank goodness it wasn't.

Fast foward to 830am. I call the bank and talk to someone in bookkeeping. Their advice...close the account and open a new one. Okay, they can close the account, open a new one and I can give them a list of outstanding checks and deposits that will be hitting the account this week. Whew, I am starting to calm down. Finally some good news. The lady at the bank tells me to go to any branch and close the account. So I head to the branch near where I work. I get there at 9am. They don't open until 930 am. So I go get me a large drink from Sonic and wait.

Finally 930am rolls around and I am the first customer in the bank. And let me tell you, the lady that was helping me was NOT happy that I was interrupting her morning coffee. She was a major witch! I won't even go into the things she was lecturing me about. I was not happy. And yes, tomorrow, I will be calling the main branch it voice my complaint about this particular person and branch. So an hour later, I have closed the account, opened a new one and I am feeling a little bit better.

Okay back to work I go. I am about 2 miles from work, when insult is added to injury. I am driving down a two lane road. Ahead of me, I see a black car in the oncoming lane. The car is drifting into my lane. I slow down, thinking that they will realize they have drifted. NOPE, she was too busy talking on her cell phone. She came completely over into my lane. I had to slam on my brakes and head into the ditch. Yep, that stupid woman, ran me completely off the road and into a ditch. She realized that she was COMPLETELY in my lane as she is right next to me (I am in the ditch). To top it off, she kept on driving. She didn't stop! Can you believe that crap! The man behind me stopped to check to see if I was okay. And a road crew a quarter of a mile up the road came running to my aide. However, none of us got her license plate. Dang it!

Fortunately, the ditch was not deep and I was able to drive the truck out and back onto the road. No damage to me or the truck. Thank goodness. I am very surprised I didn't pee my pants after that!

Today was not a good day!

What Happens in Tahlequah........

Never leaves Tahlequah....and that includes the pictures. So you will not see any pictures here on my blog. Why? you ask.....because the 20 extra pounds I have seemed to have packed on over the past 6 months really shines through. And I promised everyone that no pictures would show up on my blog of them.

I accomplished a lot at the retreat... 7 mini albums to be exact and I started an 8th. So it was a very creative and productive weekend for me....which I totally needed. And the good news, of the 7 mini albums completed, 3 sold within a day on Etsy. WoooHooo! I am totally excited!

Kidney Stones and a Big Freaking Raccoon.......

My Monday started off crappy and it ended pretty crappy too...

While I was getting ready for work yesterday at the ungodly hour of 4 am, Chris told me that we needed to go to the emergency room. Yep, every year, during the summer, my hubby gets a kidney stone. My poor guy. So we headed off to the emergency room. It was storming like crazy. Streets were starting to flood and there were several accidents that we passed. Crappy Crappy start to a Monday.

We get to the hospital and lets just say, they were having a bad Monday morning as well. We were there for almost 5 hours. Ugh! I feel asleep in one of those very very uncomfortable chairs.

I get Chris home and then I head to work. It is still raining. It rained all day.

Fast foward to bed time.....which was around 9 pm. It doesn't take me long to fall asleep. A nice retreat from my very bad Monday. Well my nice sleepy time was to be interrupted.

Do you know how hard it is to separate two large determined dogs from a big freaking Raccoon at 11 pm at night?

It's very very hard!!!!!!!!!

Especially when you are half asleep!!!

Try to imagine......Big Freaking Raccoon sitting on the fence post, only inches away from two highly irriated crazed (and loud I might add) DOGS! Scrappy came to me with very little effort. Daisy, on the other hand, not so easy. And she is taller than the fence the Raccoon was sitting on. The raccoon was obviously surprised by the crazed dogs and basically froze. All the stupid thing had to do was go back the way he came, but noooo, he decided sitting on top of the fence post inches away from certain death was the appropriate place to be. Stupid Stupid Raccoon!!!

Chris had to pop Daisy with a towel (yes, locker room style) in the tookus to even get her attention. Then it took another minute or so (which seemed like forever) to get her away from the fence and the big freaking raccoon.

All I could visualize was calling the vet at 11pm for emergency stitches in Daisy's face. But fortunately, the Raccoon wasn't as quick at striking Daisy as Daisy was from dodging those big raccoon claws.

Scrappy and Daisy came away from the backyard brawl with not a scratch. The Big Freaking Raccoon? Well, I am sure he had to clean his shorts! I bet he won't climb on our fence again. Now, when I get home, I need to apologize to all the neighbors I woke up.

I honestly hope that tonight, I can get some sleep!

06.10.08

I am back in the saddle again!!! I haven't scrapped a LO since the end of March. I have been working like crazy making things for my WhatchaMaDoodles store. But that will change the beginning of July!!!

News from Go Be Creative:
We are so excited to announce the wonderfully talented and creative ladies that have been chosen for Go. Be Creative's Team!
Annette Graham (Jazzgodezz) http://annettegraham.blogspot.com

andMarie McClellan (mariemc) http://bootstostamps.blogspot.com

And just when you thought that was all...we would ALSO like to introduce our fabulous new CREATIVE TEAM COORDINATOR!! Tam Sheaffer (tam)

Let's give these ladies a HUGE round of applause!!!

I can't tell you just how excited I am! I have known Lainey for over a year. She is a dear and wonderful friend and a kick ass kit designer! I am also very excited about working with Annette and Marie. Check out their blogs and Check us out over at Go Be Creative!

Yesterday, Chris and I got our new Wedding Bands. Aren't they gorgeous! We have them handmade by a very talented woman named Lisa. She owns Studio Jewel. Check out her store. I already have my eye on a couple of her beautiful necklaces!

Sunday morning we had a creepy visitor using our guest bathroom sink. Apparently, he must have knocked on our front door during the middle of the night and Possum let him in! LOL! Isn't he about the ugliest thing you have ever seen. Fortunately, I was not the one that found him. Chris found him. Now you have to understand something, Chris HATES spiders. He has been bitten by a Fiddleback spider 6 different times. So seeing any spiders causes my manly husband to scream like a little girl! That I wish I had not missed!

Over the weekend, I worked on two custom orders and things for my Etsy store. I replinished my stock of notebooks and I added these pretty frames to my shop.

Tonight, well I am going to crochet a bit and unwind from my very hectic day!

06.02.08

I can not believe it's already June! Man 2008 is flying by quickly.
Check it out. Chris and I bought new livingroom furniture. I finally gave in. Chris has been fussing about my "blue" furniture for a long time. He wore me down! LOL!!!! A local furniture store was having a great sale and we got a new couch, loveseat, coffee table and area rug. And as you can see in the last two pictures, Possum has already claimed her favorite spot.

I didn't get anything accomplished this weekend that I had planned. Something very unexpected happened on Friday. After they delivered the furniture and right after I hung up the phone with my friend Carol, I bent down to pick up my laptop. Then BAMB, I hit the ground. Apparently, my back didn't like the way I bent down. So from Friday around 1130 am until this morning, I was in bed, flat on my back. I was a total baby! I have a very high tolerance for pain, but this pain was so bad that I took a pain killer, which did the trick. Not only did it take away the pain, it made me incredibly STUPID. I think I drove Chris nuts with my excessive jabbering. Hee Hee. I am much better today. However, I am moving very slow. You know, I am beginning to think that my body doesn't like me much anymore. It keeps giving me fits. So, today I have to call my Chiropractor (sp?)....now if I can just remember his name.

Oh, and let me tell you, the weather this weekend in Oklahoma was quite eventful. Saturday morning we got hit with a very wicked hail storm. Fortunately, it was only pea size hail. Then Sunday morning, we were hit with two very very wicked storms. The first one hit with pea size to quarter size hail and 20 minutes after that one blew through, we were hit with another doozy of a storm with winds gusting up to 70 mph. We had massive area flooding. Our street looked like a river. It was crazy.
