Well this guy has pretty well gotten over the fact that we are outside on our front porch a lot. I guess he realizes that we won't mess with him period. When it gets dark and he is ready to eat, it doesn't matter if we are standing in his way, he just mozies on up the porch, keeping one eye on us and the other on the cat food.
I took these pictures standing only about 5 feet from him. Trust me, I was not going to get any closer.
Baby, one of our many outside cats was not happy that he was eating her food. She is just outside the shot. The raccoon was not happy being fussed at by this rather large cat with an attitude.

Omg wow... The possiums scare the living daylights out of me
Watch out for those raccoons! I had a patient once who was attacked by one! They can be mean!
We've had the same problem with raccoons and pet food.
