Why does the weekend have to go by so quickly???

Well it was a completely lazy day around here! Can't you tell?

My weekend went by way too fast! Why can't a weekend be 4 days and a work week be 3 days? And still get paid for 40 hours? Now that would be sweet! I would totally go for it. :)

I did work in the project room yesterday. I did 3 layouts and an altered it. I would show them off, but you will have to wait until the 1st. They are projects with the February Go Be Creative kit.

Well, I am going to finish drinking my coffee and probably head to bed very soon.

One of these days I will post more than once a week....

...but for the time being, it looks like Sunday is my day!

Yesterday, Chris and I spent the day in the project room. I made this cute welcome sign for our front entrance. I really really can't get enough of Graphic45 paper. I know, I know, I said that last week....but I still feel the same way this week. I know, I know, by next week I will have a new love. Okay, I love paper...and chipboard...and stickles...and sharpie markers...and and.....

I also went through some pictures I had piling up. I am always printing off way too many pictures that I don't end up scrapping. I came across this picture, and I am sure that I have scrapped it before, but I think it's a cute pictures, especially since it only shows half of my face... I grabbed some eyelets, snaps, stickles, chipboardboard, fabric and some flowers and had a blast. I think it turned out really cute. Chris says it's really "busy", but he likes it too. Which I doubt very seriously if he would ever tell me that he didn't like a layout or that something I made sucked. That's one of the reasons why I love him so much, he loves everything I do, and if he doesn't, he never tells me!!! LOL!!

Well this is what we dealt with this morning. One very large dog trying to catch three very fast and crazy kittens. Daisy was determined to catch them and everytime she was close, they would either hide or get just out of her reach. They are not afraid of Daisy, even though she is 70 pounds to their 5 pounds. She really loves Peanut Butter and would chase Peanut Butter all over the house. It was funny for about 5 minutes, then with all of the barking and whinning Daisy was doing, it just got plain annoying, especially at 9 am!

And then it was nap time. I was in the kitchen chopping veggies and making our breakfasts for next week, I came out to find out why it was so quiet and this is what I find....Daisy, Peanut Butter and Nibby on the couch, Widdles on the buffet, Scrappy on my pillow and Possum on the pillows at the foot of our bed. Awwww, I love my furring kids when they are napping!

I couldn't resist these pictures. Chris was making meatballs for our dinner and was totally grossing out having to mix the ingredients together. But I am not sure who isn't grossed out when they have had to mix up egg whites and meat! ewwwwww!!!

Up until the beginning of the year, you could open up my refridgerator and find only bottled water, Diet Dr. Pepper, Dr. Pepper and the basic condiments. But now, our fridge is full! Every Sunday we spend a couple of hours in the kitchen chopping up veggies for salads for the week, making breakfast stuff for the week and bagging up veggies for snacks. And we have discovered low fat pudding and jello.....and it is goooood!!!!! This is definitely a change of pace for us and takes a lot more planning than what I am use too, but it's not too bad. And I have been cooking a lot here lately. Which we all know is nothing short of a miracle for me!

It's Sunday! You know what that means?

It means that tomorrow is Monday and back to work! Ugh!!! I really hate Mondays. But, no more allergy shots for me on Mondays! Yippeee! I am down to two shots a week now, instead of 4, so Thursday is the day for my weekly shots! I am glad. It was getting really old driving to the doctor's office twice a week. There is major road construction around the doctor's office, so it is a bear getting there.

Today I finished up a recipe box. My kitchen is red and white, so these papers work perfect. I have had this recipe box lunch box thingy for a couple of years. I am a super bad pack rat. I got it on sale for like $5 and had no idea what to do with it. Glad I got it and glad I kept it. Now just to fill it up with great yummy recipes.

Today, I spent a couple of hours in the kitchen cutting up veggies for this next week and making english muffin breakfast sandwiches for mine and Chris' breakfast. You know this whole eating right and cooking takes a lot of time. It definitely takes some getting use to, man I am glad I didn't get rid of my weight watchers scale I bought many many moons ago. I think what kills me the most is that it costs more to eat right than it does to eat junk. Now that is just messed up! But oh well, Chris and I use to buy a ton of groceries (lots of junk) and still hit the fast food places on our way home. So I am betting we will save some money since we are not hitting Sonic and Arby's everyday!
Anyone got any great low fat recipes? or some great cooking tips? Send them my way! I am in soooo in need!

A nice quiet, creative Saturday.....

Happy Saturday! Well, more like Happy Saturday night!

This morning, while I was working on the computer and paying those dreaded bills, Chris surprised me by fixing this yummy breakfast! It is a Bananna Split with Strawberrys and Vanilla Yogart. We have been trying new recipes and trying to eat a little better. We got a new cookbook, The Biggest Loser Family Cookbook, and this was one of the yummy recipes in the Breakfast section and it is only 195 calories. And let me tell you, it is Yummy!!!!!

I spent the morning organizing my flowers. I had them all crammed in one drawer and I couldn't find a darn flower. Now they are all organized, so maybe I will actually start putting flowers on more of my projects. I have decided that I have too many flowers. But can you really ever have too many flowers?

Last weekend I picked up some new paper at the Scrapbook store. I love Graphic 45 paper. It has a great vintage feel, with fun colors. The checkerboard paper is my favorite. The frame is one I picked up at Target, I think it is Prima. Now I just have to figure out a place to put it so my precious Three Little Stoogettes don't get a hold of it.

Taking a break from WhatchaMaDoodles

Well after a lot of thought and discussion with Chris, I have decided to take a break from WhatchaMaDoodles. Chris and I are refocusing on our health and our lifestyle. For those of you that know me well, knows that I am an "all or nothing" kinda gal. And when I can't devote 120% to something, I go nuts and run myself into the ground. Well, with work and our plans for the future, there isn't enough time in the day. Hopefully, after a few months break, I can resurrect WhatchaMaDoodles. If not, well, I have a ton of mini albums to fill up and to give away! LOL!!

Keep your fingers crossed for Matt. He might get to come see us in February instead of waiting until July. I sure hope he is able to come see us. It has been 11 months since I have seen him. Man I miss that kid so much! I snagged this picture off of his photobucket. I thought it was a great picture (it would have been even better if he was flashing that great smile of his...hint hint Matt if you are reading this!! More smiling pictures for mom!!!)

Yo! It's reveal time...BABY!!!!

What a freaking fun kit to play with! I absolutely love poka dots and I couldn't get enough of these Webster papers! Check out my flickr account to read the journaling, especially on the "our resolutions" layout. And go check out Lainey's and Carol's projects too at the GBC Flickr Group! Trust me, you will love them and be totally inspired!

Chris and I actually stayed up last night and rang in the New Year's properly. I can't tell you how long it has been since I have actually stayed up to watch the 'ball drop' on New Year's Eve. It wouldn't mattered though if we would have gone to bed early, we would have been woke up by all of the fireworks going off on our street!
Thanks to my mom, I didn't sleep my New Year's Day away, like I would have like to have done! LOL! Mom and dad called and woke us up at 9am! Talk about sleeping in for me and Chris! Thanks mom! Love you!!!!
After I wiped the sleep from my eyes, had a couple of cups of coffee and watched The Most Amazing Log Homes on HGTV, I decided to start sorting all of my paper work for WhatchaMaDoodles. Yep, it's time I get that all organized for taxes. Ugh!!! I had the Insane Clown Posse helping me out! Wasn't that nice of them? We finally put them in the bedroom and while they were locked up there, Nibby (the white one) was not too pleased and broke a picture frame that was sitting on my dresser. Apparently, she doesn't like closed doors! She is truely the leader of The Brat Pack!

I hope that everyone has had a great start to their New Year's. I know that Chris and I have. I am hopeful that 2009 will be a fantastic year! It is definitely going to be a year for change! I look forward to it. No, quitting smoking is not on my resolutions list this year, neither is losing weight, two things I know I need to do, but finally quit putting it on my resolutions list. I won't bore you with my list....and trust me, I don't want to memorialize them on my blog, because then I might actually have to do them, and that would just be no fun! And we all know that if it ain't fun, Tam sure ain't gonna do it! LOL!!!!

Happy New Years!!!!

Chris and I wish everyone a very Happy New Years! I hope that everyone has a great 2009!!!
