Welcome to the world Trevor Don......

My Great Nephew, Trevor Don was born at 8:00 am this morning, weighing in at 8 pounds 13 ounces and 19 1/2" long. What a big precious boy!!!

Trevor, I would cry too if they squished my face up like that!!!!

My niece, Nikki is doing good. Thanking the good Lord that Trevor is finally here!!! Congratulations Nikki and Michael! We love you!!!!

He is.....

....the man of my dreams!!!

It's such a wonderful thing to find your match, to find your soul mate, to find that one person who truely "gets you". And this man, gets me, which is such a rare thing, especially for me. I can't even begin to express in words just how much I love this man, how much I admire this man, and how much this man means to me. He is the most patient man I have ever met, and Lord knows that when dealing with me, that is a requirement. He lets me be me, without conditions, argument, or judgement. I would have babies with this man...but thank goodness it's not possible (I am just getting too old for babies..but if we could, I totally would with Chris!)......

...okay, for those of you who know me are probably saying to themselves..."What's up with all this mushy gushy stuff?" My answer: "Don't know, I must be having a mushy gushy moment!" It couldn't possible have to do with the fact that he was home all day on vacation, while I was at work! I didn't have my hubby to go to breaks and lunch with. I missed him! :)

But if he attempts to update his iPhone again, my whole tone will change and I won't be so mushy gushy anymore! ;) LOL!!!

Our plan for the day? Here shortly, we are heading to Sam's Club to pick up some things...mainly dog food and cat food. The kids have got to eat, huh? Then the rest of the day will be filled with a couple loads of laundry, some dusting, and maybe even a movie.

Chris is off work for the next two weeks! Lucky duck!!! I only have to work two days this coming week and then I will be on vacation until July 13th! I can't wait! We have no plans, except for the Oklahoma City Zoo on July 4th with Chris' family. Other than that, it's going to be one of those "fly by the seat of our pants" vacation! WoooHoooo!!!! But I am getting ahead of myself. I still have to work on Monday and Tuesday...and Tuesday we are having our company's Board of Director's meeting. So I will be dealing with that all day on Tuesday! But Tuesday will be a good day because my beautiful niece Nikki will be giving birth to her second child Treavor Don.

Guess What I have been doing today....

.....yep, making cards. What else would I be doing? Okay, I did some laundry and made breakfast too.

I made 12 cards total....Here are 5 of them. And since my weekend is about the same as it is every weekend, I will post the rest of them tomorrow, since I am pretty certain I will not have anything remotely interesting to blog about other than my cards. But you never know, those crazy cats of mine might do something funny or my husband might try to update his iPhone or something...who knows around here!

I completely, without a doubt, no bones about it, HATE summer!!! I am a fall/winter kind of girl. Anything above 75 degrees turns me into a very grumpy whiney butt! It has been miserable all week. What am I going to do in August?

There are just so many things great about cold weather....

.

1. No sweating in areas of the body that just shouldn't sweat.

.

2. No one would ever know if I didn't shave my legs that particular week.

.

3. I look much better in a ski suit and parka than I do in a bathing suit.

.

4. No one would ever look at me, and point screaming BEACHED WHALE while at the beach...because I wouldn't be at the beach in cold weather!

.

5. I can layer clothes to get warmer...I can only take off so many clothes before small children run screaming and someone calls the police...

.

Yes, I would be much better off living somewhere cold....somewhere like ... ALASKA!!!!

I totally lifted these from Matt's Facebook. Can you say...Oh My GOSH! I WANT TO BE THERE? Well, can you say it? I can, very loudly and over and over again! I couldn't imagine waking up everyday and seeing all of this beauty.

I am soo totally jealous! Okay, I am going to have to figure out a way to get there next summer!!!! Hmm, better start saving my pennies! Matt is so very lucky getting stationed in Alaska. I am sure he will be whistling another tune when it's 20 below zero and snowing...but for now, he is enjoying those 52 degree days.

Happy Father's Days

Chris and I wish all of you great dad's out there Happy Father's Day!!!

Yesterday, Chris and I caught up on some movies. We watched 4 movies total. It was a great day cuddling up on the couch, eating popcorn and watching movies. I think we need to declare more days movie day!

I did work on some more cards yesterday. I used Unity Stamps on all of these cards.

Today, Chris and I are going to watch some more movies and then I am going to fix him dinner. He has requested Nachos for lunch, so I am not sure what exactly he will want for dinner. Oh well, no scales for me tomorrow!!!

We've declared that today is a Movie Day......

So, my plan yesterday was to sleep all day. So much for plans...the cats and Scrappy had other plans and it didn't include me sleeping all day. It was a good day though. I got a lot done, including most of the laundry and some card making.

I got my first set of Unity stamps...the June kit of the month is adorable. This first card I used two of the unity stamps. Cute huh?

This is also using one of the Unity Stamps.

And this butterfly is from a free set of Unity Stamps that I got for signing up for the Kit of the Month. The butterflies are so dang cute!!! Gonna see more butterflies on my cards...

The flowers are from Unity Stamps and the sentiments are Hero Art Stamps. The paper is K&Company. I love the postcard paper.

Chris and I have declared today a movie day (actually this afternoon). We have tons of movies to catch up on. I doubt we will watch them all, but top of our list is Grand Torino with Clint Eastwood and Friday the 13th: Killer Cut (a total guilty pleasure on my part! I love cheesey slasher movies)!!

This morning I am finish up laundry and hitting the project room to finish up a couple of cards.

He just amazes me.....

My husband just amazes me at times, in fact he renders me speechless on many occassions...especially when it comes to anything to do with the computer or any of his gadets that requires computer updating.

Yesterday I was updating my iPhone with the new 3.0 update. I tell Chris that he will need to get on his computer and update his. Easy enough, you plug in your iPhone, follow the prompts on the computer and viola....all is updated. Or at least that is how it worked for me. After updating my iTunes and Safari and the iphone...which took all of 20 minutes total...I began uploaded several Meatloaf CDs I received from my dear friend Carol's husband...got those uploaded, I restored the factory settings on my iPod and moved back over my music library...I was basically having a computer gadet maintenance evening.

Chris was in the project room on his computer updating (or so I thought) his iPhone. He came out of the room and asked me how long was the update going to take. That was my first indication that something was amiss, since it had been well over an hour and a half since he started his updating.

I went in the project room and his iPhone was unhooked, the message on the computer was "waiting to update" and there were three messages minimized on his tool bar.

Okay, for all of you who do know me well, know that I can go zero to completely aggrivated (okay..stupid mad) in 2.3 seconds flat. And when it comes to computer problems, I can get to the aggrivated stage (red faced and cussing) in about 1.2 seconds.

Then I realized, someone (my wonderful husband) was not following the prompts on the computer. Instead, he was just piddling away with his model car and talking on the phone....yes, talking on his iPhone...the one he is suppose to be updating. OMG!!!!!

How is it that someone who is incredibly smart, who can read aircraft blueprints, wiring skematics, build aircraft interiors, wire up a very insane surround sound system, can't figure out how to operate the computer or update his iPhone? Don't even get me started on how long it took for him to finally figure out how to compress and upload pictures to his photobucket!

His only defence, well he had none. He tried to be all smart and say to me.."okay, I will unhook the surround sound and stereo from the tv and you figure out how to wire it back"....Hmmmm, that arguement doesn't even hold water with me. One, I don't have to have surround sound to enjoy a movie and two, give me time and I will figure it out.....

Man, I love my husband, even though he can completely leave me scratching my head! Thank goodness he is the patient and laid back one in the family! This house wouldn't survive with two highly strung people.

Oh, and yes, I finally was able to get his iPhone updated. He is back in business!

Happy Humpty Dumpty Day.....

It's Wednesday! Middle of the week, hump day, or as I like to refer to it as Humpty Dumpty day! Sounds much better than hump day!

As usual, I am wiped out. But you know what? Tomorrow is my last day to work this week! WoooHooo! No work for me on Friday. It's really hard not to get use to having Friday's off. One of these days, I am going to have to work a Friday and I am going to be very pouty! But I will pout another day, because this Friday, I will more than likely be snoring on the couch all day! WoooHooo!!

While I was clean and organizing the other day, I came across three different packs (and styles) of the Making Memories Spiral Journal Notebooks. I forgot I even had them...

So I sat down last night and made a card with the MM Noteworthy paper and journaling page. I also used some of my neglected stickles and some Hero Arts Stamps. I think it turned out really cute.

We've come a long way baby!!!!

We are still traveling down the road of weight loss, however, we have come a long way!!!




I can't tell you just how proud I am of Chris. As of yesterday, he has lost a total of 30 pounds since we started this journey on January 1st. Even though I thought Chris looked great on January 1st, I think he is just dang smoking hot now!!!! He wants to lose about 10 more pounds and then he will be at his happy place!







I have lost a total of 35 pounds and have 15 to 25 pounds to go!

Unfortunately, in order to lose that remaining pound-age, we are going to have to start exercising..so right now, we are happy coasting along right where we are at. Maybe one of these days, exercise will be in our vocabulary!

I have no idea for a good title for this post....

because...because...well it's Monday and my brain is just not working properly!

I did get a couple of cards completed yesterday. I am having fun with chunky chipboard on cards, but it makes it difficult to fit in it's proper envelope...hmmm, must remember to purchase padded envelopes.

Not much to report on today, except that I survived another Monday and I am tired and will be hitting the sack early!!!
