I need about 10 more hours in my day, or I need to figure out how to get paid for staying at home!!!! Finding 10 more hours in a day would probably be easier! 
This box has been sitting on my table for a few weeks. I finally remembered to take pictures of it.
This week is almost over! Tomorrow is my last day for the week. However, I have a long list of things to do this weekend and it includes lots of paint and loads of mod podge! I can’t wait!!!!!!
as promised, here are the other two candle sticks I “repurposed” into something much more festive and fun!
Here are all three of them as a group. Fun, huh? Chris better not sit still too long around me, I am liable to paint him with checker boards and dots! 
Yesterday, I had several projects going at once. I have figured out that when one thing is drying start painting something else….less paint is wasted that way! Yes, I am a slow learner.
And of all of the several projects I was working on, only one is complete and 4 others waiting on finishing touches.
Here is one of three candle sticks I decorated. I didn’t take a before picture, but it was an a pretty non-descript antique white candle stick. I think the finished product is much more festive!
I will post pictures of the other two candle sticks once I get them sprayed with clear coat and they dry.
Today was an exercise in creativity. Oh hell, who am I trying to kid….it was a day in making one big mess!! But I sure did have fun making that mess!!! Not so much cleaning it up.
I am sitting here at my desk, wondering where the week went and thinking that my weekend will once again zip on by. But that’s okay, I suppose. I have a huge list of things to do this weekend and most of them involve painting. For someone who absolutely hates painting, I sure am doing a lot of it here lately. I guess you can conclude that I don’t hate painting anymore. I just hate the drying time wait and don’t even get me started on the clean up!
This week has been a bit sad here at my crazy zoo. On Tuesday, Chris called me at work and told me that we lost one of our outside cats, Hoppy. Remember him, I had just posted a picture of the two of us on Sunday.
Chris found him laying in the corner of our front yard right above the curb. We figure that he must have gotten clipped by a car while running across the road from the abandoned house to ours. I was so sad. Chris was very sad. He laid him to rest next to a rose bush in our yard. Rest in peace our dear Hoppy!
This week after work, I have been working on a custom order of plaques. And I am so happy to report that I am almost finished with them. All I have left is some touch ups and putting all of the hangers the backs. Whew! It doesn’t take long to make them, however, the cure time for the mod podge is what takes so long. So these guys will be taking a nice long rest in the back bedroom for their cure time and then packed up and shipped off!
Today, the plan is to head to Michael’s to pick up some more paint and then a walk through Lowes to price some kitchen cabinet organizer thingies. My poor kitchen cabinets are straight out of the early 1900’s….NOT very functional. And since I can’t afford new cabinets, I, okay Chris, will be installing some handy dandy organizer thingies in the future.
I know I don’t say it enough, but I just want to thank everyone who reads this little blog of mine and who leaves such sweet comments. I never imagined that anyone would stop by here to see what is going on in my crazy little world! I love each and every one of you!
Oh, and Mere, yes those are tinker toys you spied in my mod podge picture I posted two days ago. I use them to put freshly painted things on so they don’t stick to the newspaper! I love my tinker toys. In fact, I always have them on my Christmas List. Maybe this year Santa will bring me a new set! The set I have right now is 10 years old. I think I am due for a new set, don’tcha think?
Chris called me today saying “Hon, the postman just delivered a very heavy box from Dick Blicks. What is it?”
Before I could answer, I squealed in delight…..”It’s my Mod Podge!” and he responded, “How much did you buy?”
Well, little did Chris know, but you can purchase a gallon of this wonderful stuff!! Hee Hee!!!! He knows now!!!
I found homes for two of my boxes. 
The cats love them. Nibby keeps trying to open up the dream box, but the lid is a bit heavy for her. Makes me wonder what she plans to do once she gets the box actually open. She will probably try to figure out how to fit her rather large tookus inside the box to take a nap! Keep your fingers crossed that she loses interest in making my dream box her new bed!

Sorry for the lack of post this evening. I have been wrist deep in paint and mod podge. WhatchaMaDoodles just landed it’s first custom order for several plaques!! Wooot Wooot!!!

I really hate it when my weekends just fly by! I really wish that my work week and weekends were flipped around. I would really work 3 days and off 4 days….now if I can find that job that would pay me full time wages for part time work.
What did I do this weekend? I spent most of my time in the project room. Shocker there, huh?
On Thursday, I stepped down from the Frosted Design DT. It was a hard decision, since I was having a blast doing the weekly challenge projects, however, WhatchaMaDoodles has been getting very busy (which I am soooo excited about) and I was having trouble finding time to do my weekly assignments.

I am not sure if I have ever mentioned Hoppy before on my blog. He is the daddy to Huey, Dewy, and Louie. Hoppy adopted us a year or so ago. He showed up one day hopping across the neighbors yard, nursing a very hurt foot. That is how he got his name. Lets face it, there are too many dang cats that seem to find their way to my front porch, that I don’t have the brain power to think up names. I must conserve my brain power for other things like getting dressed in the morning, the ability to speak, etc.
Chris was able to take this picture of me and Hoppy the other day. Hoppy is very sweet, but very camera shy. In fact, he looks pretty annoyed by the whole posing thing.

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday. I totally flaked. Actually, I wasn’t on the internet much yesterday. Instead, I was doing laundry, grocery shopping….you know, one of those kind of days. And when I finished with those chores, I was back in the project room working on another box….just a much smaller one. Here is a picture of the work in progress. It doesn’t look like much now, but hopefully it will look similar to the vision I have rolling around in my head.
Look at all of those yummy colors. Gotta love Fancy Pants, some of their lines from last year have wonderful vibrant colors. Some of these colors will find their way on to my box. Just not sure how yet. The Painting is complete, with the exception of some touch ups…..I have to tell you, I am totally in love with paint pens! It has turned this paint hating person into a person who is starting to like to paint…as long as there are paint pens close at hand!
Well, actually I started on this Friday evening and finally finished it up late Saturday afternoon.

Here is a project I did using this sketch. I altered a canvas with some Theresa Collins and K&Company paper. I doodled one of my favorite quotes on a dictionary page. I added some chipboard, some metal stars and fun pom pom ribbon. I sealed it up with several coats of mod podge.

Last night I sat down on the couch, turned on The Biggest Loser and started doodling. It felt great getting to play with my markers!

Actually it’s just bears. Not at my house! Lord knows that I don’t need more wildlife at my house! Matt sent us a picture of the road that he runs almost daily. He took this picture from his car….fortunately, he was not running that road at that time!
Apparently, momma and her three little bears decided to come out and play near the road. HOLY MONKEY!!! Can you imagine seeing that as you are driving by? Heck, I would have a heart attack. If I was running by, I would just die where I stood. Okay, I would never be running in the first place, but IF I was, I would either die on the spot or make such a smelly mess in my shorts that those bears would not want anything to do with the stinky human!
